Confederated Metropolis of Gwij

“The Urban it is. The Urban is millions of twisted byways, metals, and thoughts: a mass of glass and stone with trillions of dark corners and lighted specks. It is a barrage of mechanical noise and human murmur unnaturally but mutually combined making a chronic silence. The Urban is rapid movement - eyes dreaming as the conscience remains unaware - constantly moving but going nowhere.

They give The Urban a peculiar name - Gwij, more specifically, the Confederated Metropolis of Gwij.

“They” are those millions in their various languages and dialects assume The Urban is their home. They were never invited, these parasites on which The Urban is now dependent. It listens to them, eavesdrops on their daily, monotonous routines of parasitic existence – eating, fighting, sleeping, working, loving, lusting, and dying. They are always dying.

The Urban observes disinterestedly these strange beings that burrow their lives deep into the veins of the city. But The Urban is weirdly becoming less disinterested and cannot understand why and if even cares. The Urban will look deeper more interested.”
